Brightwork Creative Director Allen Hahn recently participated in Story Hack: Beta sponsored by Storycode and hosted by Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York. 7 teams competed in the first-ever Story Hackathon. Their challenge: create a cohesive narrative spanning 3 or more technological platforms and will execute a single one over the course of 36 hours.
His team, Cupcakes and Rainbows won top honors for their project futuremate!
Along with teammates Gyda Arber, Brian Fountain and David Gochfeld, Allen created a story in which The world has suffered a cataclysm, and the few who survived must now face the horrors of online dating. To add insult to injury these lonely hearts must avail themselves of FutureMate.us, the government’s online portal for finding your perfect match. Attendees of the “Meet and Mate” seminar have been told that everything is going to be ok, but evidence is starting to prove otherwise.
This Multi-platform story is told using technologies and media that span web, mobile, video. print, and live theatre.
